Assistant Store Manager
An assistant manager at The Rabbit Hole VR should display strong communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills. They should be an energetic leader and team player with excellent customer service skills. Being organized and having the ability to manage multiple people and tasks at once is essential. Responsibilities - Welcome guests and ensure all new players complete liability waivers & safety training - Onboard guests with a short talk about popular games - Guide players through their VR experience with exceptional customer care, including anticipating customer questions, assisting with game selections, setting up multiplayer games and providing instructions to players throughout their session. - Coordinate and oversee the planning and delegating of work among staff, especially during events and on busy days - Ensure that all arcade policies and procedures are followed by our team. Training and giving feedback to team members will be significant for this role. - Manage purchases/returns and handling disputes as a representative of The Rabbit Hole VR brand - Proactively respond to customer inquiries (emails and phone calls) at the beginning of each workday and as needed throughout your shift - Open and close the arcade for staff members, count register drawers and resolve cash overages and shortages - Troubleshoot computer and headset issues in a quick and efficient manner - Manage the flow of customer traffic using our arcade management software - Ensure arcade is clean, well-organized and properly stocked. Report inventory needs to management well in advance for re-stocking. - Properly utilize downtime by completing tasks that improve the arcade and motivating employees to do the same. Core Skills - Keen attention to detail - Public speaking and holding easy conversation with guests - Experience with computers and PC gaming is required. Experience with modern virtual reality headsets is a plus. - Experience with Discord. - Ability to project your voice and speak clearly and concisely to multiple players at the same time. - Collaborating with management on employee and customer service issues - Promoting store merchandise and upselling arcade sessions - Evaluating employee performance - Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently based on company policies and practices - Ability to stand for 4-6 hours The Perks - Competitive pay based on similar positions in the location-based entertainment industry - Play VR for free! The assistant manager should have the ability to offer light-hearted conversation to their group and make great game recommendations based on their interests to ensure they feel welcome and have fun. - Date Night Couples: VR is the most fun when you play with someone else, making our arcade a prime destination for couples out for a fun date night. Young adults who have spent their money with us want to feel like they get a great value for their money and the assistant manager's job is to be available to help when needed but also offer privacy while they are on their date. Our assistant manager should have a knack for knowing when to step in (or ask the VR Guide on duty to step in) and when to let them enjoy their time together in VR without intrusion. - Families & Children: Many times we have the whole family in VR and it is our job to guide them toward games everyone in their group can enjoy, regardless of skill level. The assistant manager should be able to work seamlessly with both parents, grandparents and children to ensure everyone has a great time. Children are not our core demographic, but it is necessary to be able to display patience and work with them as needed. On occasion, the assistant manager will need to be comfortable denying entry to children who are too young/too small to play and explain to the parents the reason. This position is for our Cool Springs arcade located inside the TOA Sports Performance Center at 215 Gothic Court, Suite 201, Franklin, TN. Candidates must be available to work weekends and weekday evenings. Our hours are 3-9 PM Tuesday-Friday and Noon-9 PM Saturday-Sunday. Selected candidates will be asked to participate in a video interview using Discord or Zoom. Job Type: Part-Time or Full-time hours available Salary: - DOE: $13-14 per hour base pay Supplemental pay: - Tips Schedule: We are open weekday evenings from 3-9 PM and on weekends from Noon-9 PM. Evening and weekend availability is required.
VR Arcade Game Guide
We are looking for reliable, customer-focused VR Guides to join our growing team at our Franklin (Cool Springs) location. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with customers, answering questions related to VR and gaming and being proactive to help other staff members provide outstanding customer service. The VR Guide’s primary job is to ensure every guest has an unforgettable VR experience from start to finish. Responsibilities include: - Enthusiastically welcoming guests into the arcade - Assisting customers into and out of VR equipment - Helping customers with gameplay and giving continued instruction throughout their sessions - Using VR software to monitor sessions and anticipate customer needs before they ask for help - Playing games in our VR library to learn key details that help us better serve customers - Loading groups into multiplayer games - Sanitizing equipment after each player - General cleaning around the arcade including vacuuming, dusting, bathroom duties, etc. Qualifications: - Previous experience in customer service (clothing, shopping malls, location-based entertainment such as trampoline houses, mini-golf courses or other entertainment facilities) - Must be excessively friendly and communicate effectively with customers, including children and adults - Must be comfortable taking feedback from management and using it to provide a better customer experience in the future Bonus points if you have experience with: - You are a former customer of The Rabbit Hole VR! Former customers know what type of experience we want to provide to our guests and can better duplicate that for future guests. - Working with virtual reality equipment - Working with Windows 10 operating system and Steam - YouTube, twitch.tv or any live streaming services Must be at least 15 years old to apply and have reliable transportation. 10-20 hours/week for off-season months (January-May) with the opportunity for full-time hours during peak season (June-September). Weekends (Friday-Sunday) required. Starting pay rate at $10/hour with the opportunity for quick growth to Lead VR Attendant and/or Assistant Manager and regular pay raises once the VR Guide job is mastered.
